Year end ski at NLT

Thursday, December 30th, 2010

Excellent three-hour ski around NLT today.  Cover is great except for Pelvis Pass and a stray rock here or there.  Haven’t been up since week before Christmas. Used the good skis for the first time this season at NLT.  Really nice powder for carving a turn in the Meadow.  I noticed a couple of other [...]

Trails are well packed and excellent skiing. Cover is 99% and look forward to some new snow. Warmer temps. this weekend should not effect the cover. ( I hope!) Snowshoers have done a great job packing the sides of the trails. Has anyone packed sidewinder?

So 1″ of new snow last night. More small amounts expected in the next few days. I went skiing Tuesday evening and the tracks were hard and quick. It was nice. The new snow adds to the already great skiing. Many of us cant ski during the day and rely on night skiing. A good [...]

Well, I have not skied this morning but we did receive 4″ here. I live adjacent to the Land Trust and unfortunately snow blowing took me away. If you do ski, please stay in center of trail. Thanks. Stay tuned.

Sunday, December 12th, 2010

Well right now it is a light snow and 31 degrees. I don’t know how long it will last today. If you are juggling between skis and snowshoes, I would recommend snowshoes today. If you are out snowshoeing, we could use your help. Here are a few trails that need to be packed. Sidewinder, Sugarshack, [...]

It’s so hard to believe that I actually had such great skiing on 1″ of snow! Yes! 1 inch. I believe it was the rain that froze, expanded and a inch on top. Now granted it surly depends on what trail you ski, and yes, I am a fanatic! Those that know me will agree. [...]
