Saturday morning at 6:30 am I left for a ski from my house which is very close to the NLT. It was -4 and no wind. I left the house and it was dark as i skied down the rail beds chasing a almost bright full moon. With headlight on i skied Nightrider to saranac [...]

In the past week we have had no significant snowfall. I call it daily dustings.Conditions are excellent. Enjoy it now.
WINTER RULES!

Finally, the NLT is back to excellent conditions. With 3-4 new inches of snow this weekend. But, don’t expect to see much powder left as to the many people that used the NLT this weekend.

Hello, well in the last week i would say we have received 6″ of fresh, fluffy new snow. Over the week this has slowly settled. The trails are like early season skiing. Depending on which trail you choose depends on how many scrapes you may end up with. Open trails seem to have better cover. [...]

Glad I got out today. Here’s what I found:

Snow cover was adequate, a few thin spots, so rock-skis or snowshoes are a best choice.
Lower Saranac to Meadow – All good until just before Meadow, where there are a couple thin spots.
Solstice to Snowmobile Trail – All good up to junction w/ Luke’s Lodge, thin and [...]
