Good for Snowshoes

Spring is in the Air.
That also means the snow is changing from solid-to-liquid and liquid-to-solid.
It’s a beautiful time to be out, and you can see all the critters are quite active.
I recommend snowshoes for full enjoyment. Cheers.

yup, plenty of snow still.I do suggest going early if sunny. The temp rises fast and warms up sticky snow. Still close to 2 feet of cover + or -. If we do receive new snow that’s the best time to go. Stay tuned. I will post if we get any thing.

Beech snap

While turning off Saranac onto Sugarshack trail recently, I had to duck under this mature Beech tree whose trunk had broken about 7-9 feet above the ground.
The point where this Beech 'snapped' is just behind the trunk with the birdhouse.

You bet we do! My wife and I went for first tracks last night. Knee deep powder. We were able to set fresh tracks on Nightrider, Pelvis Pass, and 2-tree. 3 down…..25 to go!
The season is winding down…Ski now, Sleep later!
