The Annual Meeting

The purpose of the annual meeting is to inform the membership of the events of the year and hold elections to the board of directors. We are actively seeking interested existing and new members who would like to help guide the New Land Trust into the future. If you’d like to get more involved, we’d love to have your help!

Fun and Educational Events

Starting at 12:30 pm

Discover Water Bugs!
With Janet Mihuc
Did you know the dragon fly actually lives under water for 4 years before it becomes what we know as a dragonfly? Janet will show us what lives in our water. She’ll work with people down by Smithkill Brook to explore insect life in the current.

Making Clay Fossils!
With Kathy Cantwell
We’ll make trail markers for NLT by gathering plants and rolling them into clay. After they’re fired and glazed, you’ll be able to see a true impression of the plant. We’ll also use letter stamps to press the names of the plants into the wet clay. With your help, these trail markers will make an attractive and informative addition to our trails.

Geocache!
Use GPS or orienteering skills to find a geocache site.

Pick Blueberries!
Wild and delicious blueberries are all over the New Land Trust.

Acoustic Folk Music
By Snowy Le Joie and Ryan Casey – 2:00pm
Snowy and Ryan use guitars, a mandolin and sometimes a harmonica to make contemporary and historic Champlain folk songs come to life. Fun and appropriate for all ages!

Donation Gladly Accepted!
Free Primitive Camping available!
Bring: Bug Repellant, Food, Water, Camping Gear, Chairs, Instruments, GPS, Compass, and Friends!
