The New Land Trust

Warm weather returns and it looks like our Ski-season is over.

I wanted to thank everyone who visited and supported the New Land Trust this Winter.

Unlikely we will get another storm (though you never know in the Adirondacks), so I’m ready to declare that Spring is officially here.

We’re moving forward and always seeking energetic volunteers and members. Contact or Send us ideas!

Cold nights and warm days. This makes for constant changing conditions. Skies or snowshoes? That is the question. Which do I use? Bring both. Still 100% cover on the trails. Come one, come all. Enjoy!

March 1st, At this point I figure there is one month of good skiing left. Of course i can be wrong (one way or the other). Lots of activity this weekend. It definitely helped pack the 16+ inches of snow received. Tracks are in excellent condition with a dusting of new snow. Enjoy!

Well not much to report lately but, Believe it or not the trails have full cover!Yes full cover. How is the skiing? You determine that. Can you ski the trails? You bet you can. Just because there is no snow in Plattsburg does not mean we are not skiing here.   ~STS~

Oh the fun you can have at the NLT.

Not much to report. We still have excellent cover. The ski tracks disapeared and we need some snow. I am a greedy man!

OK well we weathered the January thaw quite well. The trails are bullet proof right now. Desperately in need of new snow. Cover is good and have received a dusting of snow. How is the skiing? I would assume it is rough. Snow in the forecast. I have not been out due to hard conditions.

Greetings snowmen. We received 5″ of fluffy light snow on Wednesday. Since it has settled and been skied on. This was needed badly. Skiing is back to pretty good. We could still use some more snow so don’t stop dancing! I had 12 degrees at 5:00 am on Friday. Says its going to warm up on Sunday so ski Saturday. Remember it’s free to use the New Land Trust, but donations or memberships help with taxes and insurance.
